Ingredients
Serves - 4
- 2 lbs. of venison backstraps
- 1-1/4 quart apple cider
- 1 pound of thick bacon
- 2 Medium sized Apples (sliced)
- 12 oz bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce.
- Cut venison backstraps into roughly two inch chunks.
- Slice each apple into 6 chunks
- Place venison and apple chunks into baking dish.
- Pour in apple cider
- Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Remove apples and apple cider.
- Add your barbeque sauce refrigerate 2 hours.
- Remove form frig.
- Wrap each venison chunk with a slice of bacon, use a toothpick to secure.
- Preheat Grill
- Grill for 15 - 20 minutes make sure to turn occasionally.
- You want the bacon to become mildly burnt bacon
- 15 to 20 minutes should get the job done.
